Wrexham County Borough Council - Finance Monitoring/Project Support Officer

Location: WREXHAM LAMBPIT STREET COUNTY OFFICES, Lambpit Street, Wrexham, LL11 1AR.

Contract: Initial contract to 21st May 2021 with possible extension.

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:30pm

Payrate: £8.91 an Hour

Description:

Prevention and Service Development Team: to support the set up and implementation of grant funded programmes for children and families.

Grant funding is short term and implementation needs to be immediate.

The Finance Monitoring/ Project Support Officer is responsible for supporting the project team with research, data capture, monitoring and reporting as well as dealing with enquiries from parents and professionals.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

To support the project team with undertaking research, data capture, financial monitoring and reporting duties and provide monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring information as instructed by officers and in support of project claims and future project development.

To answer, process and refer appropriately, enquiries from parents, carers and professionals contacting the project by telephone, email/social media or in person.

To manage and maintain the project participants’ database and associated paper files and ensure that accurate information is available as and when required by officers and/or funders to support the conditions of grant and audit requirements.

To undertake budget monitoring duties and provide monthly and quarterly budget monitoring information to support the conditions of grant and audit requirements.

To undertake research into training opportunities for project team members and project participants, assist participants’ access to training and organise and co-ordinate training courses for parents on a rolling basis.

To ensure that robust monitoring and evaluation procedures are implemented and to assist with the development and implementation of effective performance measurement.

To produce monitoring reports on the projects to meet funding/audit requirements and to inform the planning and development of projects for children, young people and their families in Wrexham County Borough.

To manage and process purchase orders and process payments through the Purchase card when required.

To organise childcare placements for parents to enable them to access training or employment.

To organise information outreach sessions in a variety of settings and to identify future information outreach opportunities.

To undertake such other related duties commensurate with the level of responsibility and remuneration of the post that may be assigned by the line manager.
