Are you a passionate, dedicated Young Persons Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Young Persons advisor to join a Leaving Care Team based in Havering. 

Pay Rates: £20.25 per hour

Duration: 03/04/2023 - 3 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 36 hrs/week - must be flexible

Young Persons Advisor role: Full JD Available

• Hybrid working within the community/leaving care designated space/office/home
• Direct work with young people aged 18 to 21 (24 if in Education), looked after by the authority who are placed in various settings and accommodation
• Candidate will hold a complex case load
• Prepare and support young people towards independence
Participate in the assessment, preparation and reviews of the pathway plans
• Take reasonable steps to ensure that the young person makes use of such services and that they are appropriate to the young person’s needs
• Keep records on their progress, wellbeing and contacts
• Liaise with other agencies, such as housing, education, benefits agency, health as may be appropriate for the young person
• Attend meetings, conferences and reviews

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in childcare, education, health or social care
• Recent experience of working with children, young people and families from a variety of backgrounds
• Experience of preparing reports and assessments in respect of children
• Able to deliver excellent customer service
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel between Local Authority sites within the London Borough of Havering
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
