Youth Offending Officer - Milton Keynes 

Are you a passionate, dedicated Youth Offending Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Youth Offending Officer to join a team based in Milton Keynes. 

Umbrella Pay: £20.51 - £26.67 per hour

Duration: 27/03/2023 - up to 6 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week - Office based

Youth Offending Officer role: Full JD Available

  • Manage a caseload of young people who are on statutory post / pre -court disposals or involved with the Early Support Project (ESP) who have been referred to the service due to concerns around the early onset of offending, knife crime, gang membership or concerning associations, county lines and child exploitation.
  • Implement and review intervention plans to manage risk, prevent offending or re-offending and to support the young people
  • Work with parents and other carers in support of a whole family approach
  • Work in partnership with other agencies and services, planning together for the benefit of the child or young person
  • Assessments and report writing, including Court reports, Referral Order Reports and Youth Conditional Caution proposals as required
  • Carry out the role of Court Officer in the Criminal Courts and participation in appropriate Court and office duty arrangements where necessary
  • Ensure accurate case records are maintained electronically, and reports and information are provided on a regular basis

Essential Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification
  • Substantial experience gained in Social Work, Policing, Education, Youth Work, Criminal Justice or Health relevant setting
  • Knowledge in observation and in carrying out assessments and plans addressing risks and needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
