Youth Offending Service Worker - Greenwich
Are you a passionate, dedicated Youth Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Youth Offending Service Worker to join a team based in Greenwich.
Pay Rates: £18.26 - £22.98 per hour
Youth Offending Service Worker role: Full JD Available
- You will be responsible for a caseload of children and young people in the community and custody referred to the Service with a range of complex needs and behaviours, who are subject to pre-court disposals, statutory court orders and bail support packages, in order to reduce their risk of offending
- Undertake assessments of children, young people and their families which identify risk and protective factors and analyse the underlying causes of their offending, ensuring their views are reflected to inform decision making and how approaches are adapted to work with them.
- To work effectively in partnership with staff based in relevant agencies, fostering strong relationships that promote positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
- To attend police stations and the secure estate as required.
- To prepare Pre Sentence Reports to the Courts, following assessment, giving proposals for intervention to reduce offending, with regard to the welfare of the child.
- To prepare reports for Referral Order Panels and attend the Panel to support volunteer panel members with information about suitable interventions.
- Undertake YOS office duty as part of a rota system.
- Undertake home visits as required to support work with a child, young person, parent or carer.
- To contribute towards in-service training and induction of new staff service training and induction of new staff.
- To undertake any other duties as may be appropriate to the level and nature of the post, as determined by the YOS Manager.
Essential Requirements:
- Recent experience in Youth Justice
- Relevent qualification
- 5 years references
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
