Anti-Social Behaviour Officer
Cardiff (citywide)
Umbrella Pay- £18.30 per hour
01/07/2024 – 3 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week
  • Provide support in tackling anti-social behaviour across the city for council tenants and leaseholders
  • Visit both the victims and alleged perpetrators of ASB in their own home in relation to potential breaches of their tenancy agreement
  • Visit problem locations as they occur to obtain direct evidence
  • Offer advice, gather evidence, take statements and create actions plans
  • Work in partnership with council service areas, police and other partners to gather and analyse evidence of anti-social behaviour and to develop appropriate responses
  • Ensure all necessary actions are taken to resolve anti-social behaviour
  • Keep victims informed of progress in relation to their case
  • Look at causes of anti-social behaviour and ensure all options are considered such as regeneration of areas for positive impact
  • Be aware of and make use of all relevant legislation and powers in relation to tackling anti-social behaviour
  • Keep and maintain records of all case work
  • Regularly review all ongoing cases with management to ensure action is taken
  • Prepare case files and attend court to give evidence when necessary
Requirements
  • Experience of working within a housing related environment
  • Experience of evidence gathering and case management
  • Experience of dealing sympathetically with public enquiries and complaints
  • Demonstrates an understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Able to work with flexibility as some evening and weekend working may be required
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service
