Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a Social Work team based in Pontefract. 

Pay Rates: £17.76 per hour

Duration: 25/09/2023 – 6 months (maternity leave cover)  

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00, 37 hrs/week – Office based

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Facilitate and supervise family time with looked after children and their families
• Make an observation of the family time for social workers assessment
• Work with the families to resolve any behavioural and emotional issues that may arise from contact
• Provide advice and guidance to parents where needed on things such as child development
• Build strong, trusting working relationships
Demonstrate a clear understanding of Child Protection procedures and principles and MCC social work procedures relating to court proceedings
• Maintain records of work and write reports

Essential Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent extensive experience working with looked after children and families
• Understanding of child development
• Awareness of safeguarding systems and course of action to take when concerned about a child’s safety
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
