We are looking for a Team Manager to join the Permanence Team within our Fostering service. We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable practitioner who can support the team and our foster carers to meet the needs of children and young people in care. We want all of our looked after children to be cared for as part of a family in their local community for as long as they need to be in care. We want every child and young person to be safe, healthy, achieving in education, enjoying time with family and friends and gaining all the skills they need to be able to live independently when they reach adulthood. Our fostering service is key to achieving these aims.

Description of Role

Your role will be to manage and supervise social workers in the Permanence Team. The team undertakes viability, Kinship and Form F assessments. You will work very closely with the legal team and children’s teams and as well as the fostering and permanency team.


Experience of managing practitioners in fostering service (supervising foster carers/Connected persons, undertaking form F, viabilities and Kinship assessments), knowledge fostering regulations and National Minimum standards.
