Job Description

Grounds Maintenance Team Leader – Mobile

Covering North London (Van and fuel carded is provided)

Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm

Paying £16/£17per hour via umbrella

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Lead and motivate a team of multi skilled staff.

Support reporting on the grounds maintenance budget by providing accurate reports of actual and forecasted spend, and leading on regular interim audits/stock-takes

Organise a regular timetable of visits to estates and establish a rota for GM on each estate. Supervise and line manage a team of multi-skilled staff monitoring the standard of work through 1-1’ and performance reviews taking the appropriate action when required

Maintain all communal external areas including grassed areas, Shrubs, hedges and beds, drying areas, car parks and play areas where appropriate, in line with the GM specification working to the seasonal schedules to deal with growth rates through differing seasonality

Monitor standard of work performance, undertake monthly team meetings, complete 1-1’s and performance reviews. Identify team training needs and action appropriate training.

Ensure vehicles and equipment is serviced / maintained and kept clean, all relevant paperwork including vehicle inspections to be completed and any damage / accidents / incidents reported.

Attend internal and external meetings as required.

Work with internal and external departments to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to residents.

Ensure all tasks carried out by the team are accurately recorded within the estate services monitoring system. All relevant paperwork to be completed and submitted to the Admin team.

Analyse recorded data and review for the purpose of improving service standards.

Ensure compliance with and promotion of the organisation’s Health & Safety policy and legislation.

Undertake any other duties broadly consistent with the level of post as required by line manager / head of service.

Requirements:

3+ years’ experience within a similar role

Must possess a driver’s license

Must be able to pass a DBS
