Radiology Nurse - Southend

4Healthcare are currently recruiting a Radiology Nurse to work within Hospitals in Southend, Essex.

Candidates will be expected to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, as well as communicate well with other members of staff and patients. They must have an understanding and knowledge of Ionising Radiation, Medical Exposures Regulations (IR (ME) R, 2000 which includes the wearing of Lead Protective clothing. You must know the preparation and use of specialist equipment for investigative/invasive procedures, acting as scrub nurse/first assistant to Radiologist for interventional procedures in X-ray and Ultrasound. They must have an understanding and knowledge of controlled drug usage/storage and Radiology stock which includes: stents, guide wires etc. They will also need to wear lead protective equipment during fluoroscopic & Angio screening for prolonged periods.

What we will need from you:

• NMC Pin Registered

• Should be capable of IV administration
• Previous experience of Fluoro room, Angio Suite and Cardiac Cath Lab Work
• ILS Trained

• Enhanced DBS
• 3 years' reference
• 1 years' current Hospital experience
