Job Description

Job Title: Technical Services Manager – (Electrical bias)

Rate: £26 per hour, paid weekly via umbrella

Location: Bournville, Birmingham – B30

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm.

Start: ASAP

Duration: Temp to Perm

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

Ensure all work requests are carried out as requested to maximise uptime of client utilities and plant

Scheduling of team’s work

Managing and scheduling of 3rd party contractors

Ensure legal compliance as well as client management policies and procedures

Manage HV system requirements for site

H&S and upholding GWS standards

Log downtime and report on root cause

Ordering and managing of parts and spares to minimise equipment downtime

Engage and complete all mandatory and job-related training and ensure the team competence and compliance

To deliver extra works / remedial works to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties

Develop Continuous Improvement within the department.

Delivers services based on contract scope of work with full understanding of the scope variances by site (e.g., client provided, 3d party, self-perform, etc.)

Keep all aspects of logbooks up to date for the team

Accountable for budget management for Electrical services

Monitors recurring spend to identify saving opportunities (Labour/Sub/Materials, Optimize Self Perform utilization, Control Variable spend).


Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role.

Must be fully qualified electrically

17th/18th edition

HV Experience/HVAP is highly desirable
