Tutor/Assessor – Tooting

£35 per hour

Fixed term contract – Full Time

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the School of Workforce Development in delivering knowledge, understanding, competence and tutoring in class and workplace environments or individually.
  • Manage and deliver the induction, initial assessment and skills scans of learners. Develop assessment and learning plans that meet the needs of the learners and the employer.
  • Support learners in completing qualifications in line with the standards, and the awarding body’s EQA requirements.
  • Deliver training, underpinning knowledge, mentoring and competence to Apprentices in the classroom, also the work place, both individually and in workshops, where appropriate, flexible to meet business needs, in order to prepare them for the End Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Assess the competence of apprentice and learners in the workplace and classroom to ensure that they meet the requirements of the qualification and complete in a timely manner.
  • Keep a register of attendance and maintain records including Individual Learning Plans/Agreements, Learner Reviews, setting SMART targets and review and record progress as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner’s progress and achievement recording and reporting to relevant parties
  • Completing all appropriate documentation in a timely manner (enrolments, achievements and withdrawals) required to meet the College’s quality assurance process and funding body’s requirements.
  • Attend regular meetings, standardisation and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) organised by School of Workforce Training and Development.
  • Be proactive in providing market intelligence and business opportunities for the School of Workforce Training and Development and the wider group; generate new business and recruiting learners.
  • Communicate with learners, colleagues, employers and stakeholders in support of learning, achievement and progression.
