Job Description
We are currently looking for a Asset Appraisal Surveyor. You will be working based in Harrow
Monday - Friday
09:00am - 17:00pm
Temp Contract
Pay rate - £24.35ph via umbrella
Job Purpose
- As a member of the Asset Management Team, contribute towards achievement of the services aims and objectives as contained in the Housing Ambition Plan.
- To act as lead professional in all aspects of stock condition inspections, and to provide expert professional and technical advice in all matters relating to the building stock in a customer focussed manner.
- To provide a professional and efficient service, ensuring that works are specified within the constraints of time, budget, quality and performance and in compliance with statutory legislation, building regulations, Decent Homes Standards, health and safety policies and financial regulations.
Main Duties
- To ensure compliance with your responsibilities as laid out in the council’s equal opportunity policy and take an active role in promoting and enabling equality of opportunity, promoting the diverse needs and aspirations of Harrow’s community, ensuring equality and diversity is mainstreamed in all service/directorate activities
- To ensure compliance with your responsibilities as laid out in the council’s health and safety policy and active role in promoting a positive health and safety culture
- To promote and participate in the council’s investors in people (IIP) and individual performance appraisal and development (IPAD) initiatives and information management best practice
- To ensure compliance with the council’s information security policies and maintain confidentiality
- To provide services which are responsive to customer requirements, accessible to all areas of the community and provide value for money, ensuring that works are carried out within the agreed constraints of time, budget, quality and performance
- To contribute to policy development so that services are developed in line with council priorities
- To develop positive working relationships with staff, external agencies and stakeholders
- To comply with the Council Standing Orders and Financial Regulations with particular reference to that part relative to Contracts Rules
