Mechanical Craftsperson

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson. You will be working in Wakefield (WF1). 

Monday - Friday

Temp Contract - Ongoing

Pay rate - £18ph via umbrella

Job Purpose

The economical and efficient repair and maintenance of a diverse range of owned and other; vehicle, plant, and equipment fleets.  Including privately owned vehicles.

Main Duties

1. To contribute actively in the overall operation of Transport Services.
2. Undertake specific technical support duties within the transport service.
3. Meet the public and representatives of other Services and contractors as necessary and provide appropriate information on request.
4. Participate in the team working approach to the allocation of duties within Transport Services, where necessary leading small teams.
5. To adhere to and apply legislation, standing orders, constitution and procedures as appropriate
6. To apply all appropriate health and safety procedures relevant to the Transport Service and communicate and advise where necessary other staff of their responsibilities in this area and to report any concerns immediately.
7. To communicate fully with all staff within Transport Service as appropriate.
8. To participate in maintaining good employee relations within Transport Service
