Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Building Services Maintenance Engineer – (Commercial Office Building)

Rate: £20ph via umbrella (negotiable for the right candidate)

Location: Hove, BN3 

Shift: Monday to Friday, 40 hours between 7am till 6pm.

Length of assignment: 2 months minimum

Requirements:

Must be fully qualified mechanically (City & Guilds/Equivalent)

Must be able to work one Saturday per month (overtime rate)

Must be a part of the call-out rota.

Must be able to pass a DBS.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

The day-to-day operation & maintenance of mechanical services in line with KPI’s and SLA’s and the Maintenance Model for Preventative Maintenance.

Carry out minor fabric repairs when required.

Procure materials and equipment to carry out works.

To organise and supervise sub-contractor as and when required.

Assist Lead engineer and Account Manager in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site.

Attend to reactive calls in line with KPI’s and SLA’s.

Communication with Helpdesk on site team and clients.

Identification & reporting of any M & E faults, which will have a detrimental effect on the building environment & Plant and equipment.

Timely completion of all required paperwork including work record sheets, Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Permits to Work and accurate timesheets
