Accountancy Technician – Mold (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate: £17.76ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

To provide a full range of accountancy support to Senior Managers and budget holders as part of a team of staff responsible for budget preparation and control, and financial advice.

Accountabilities:  

• To maintain the computer retrieval programmes component of the Directorate.
• To produce regular budget monitoring reports including consultation with budget holder to maximise accuracy.
• Prepare and analyse budgets.
• To monitor, accuracy of financial records and take corrective action.
• Provide Service Managers with technical advice and systems to enable them to manage their budgets effectively.
• To support, advise and brief Service Managers and budget holders on financial implications arising out of any diverse changes which occur within the service, and to jointly develop and implement appropriate systems and monitor the impact which requires a knowledge of potential service impacts.
• To contribute to the development of corporate financial policies and operations by participation in the corporate task groups on aspects of financial management.
• To assist the Finance Manager by directing and monitoring the work of the Finance Assistant and assist in their career development.
• To assist the Finance Manager in the introduction of improvements in financial monitoring and control of financial systems.
• To provide information to the County Treasurer's Department as required
