Behaviour Support Practitioner - Enfield

Are you a passionate, dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a Joint Service for Disabled Children Team based in Enfield.

Umbrella Pay - £24.39 per hour

This is a contract role for a minimum 1 year.

Shifts are on a rota basis between the hours of 8am-11pm, Monday to Sunday.

The role:

  • Provide support to children and young people to relief parents from their caring responsibilities.
  • Work closely with parents, carers and school environments to incorporate strategies and interventions that facilitate change, enhance skill development, and promote resilience.
  • Offer families support and guidance to prevent the escalation of concerning behaviours in challenging circumstances.
  • Participate in evaluations and attend relevant meetings, such as child protection conferences, reviews, child in need sessions, school evaluations, and other collaborative meetings as required.
  • Develop strong relationships with children and young people while also building effective partnerships with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for children and young individuals.
  • Assist in facilitating hospital discharges, especially during non-standard work hours, by closely coordinating with healthcare providers, social care associates, parents/carers, and school personnel.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of cases while also participating in project evaluation activities.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments, accident reporting, care plans and lone working.
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare and/or health and social care is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability working with disabled children and young people with multiple and complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Capable of flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
