Family Support Worker (Missing from Home) - Bury 

Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Missing from Home Co-ordinator to join their Complex Safeguarding Team based in Bury.

Pay Rates: £14.50 per hour 

Duration: 06/02/2023 – 3 months

Hours: Monday to Friday between 7am to 7pm - 37 hrs/week - Hybrid

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Work with young people who are reported missing from home, for those who live at home in Bury and those who are looked after by another local authority and placed in Bury, to understand the reasons for this and to reduce risk.
• Undertake return home interviews.
• Visit children and young people at home, in school and/or any other venue deemed appropriate.
• Provide practical and emotional support to children young people and their families to safeguard and promote their welfare.
• Work with the parents and families to meet their children’s care needs.
• Plan and implementing programmes of agreed work with children/young people and their families.
• Undertake life story work.
• Contribute to and inform the completion of the Local Authority’s assessment reports subject to the requirements of the allocated Social Worker.
• Attend meetings, conferences and reviews where necessary.

Essential Requirements:

• Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent experience with vulnerable children/young people and their families
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered to the update service
