South Gloucestershire Council – Business Support Officer (Streetcare)

Location: Yate, Gloucestershire, BS37 7PN

Contract: Initial contract to April 2021

Hours: Monday to Friday / 9:00am – 5:00pm

Payrate: £11.08 an Hour

Description:

OFFICE BASED ROLE

Trade related experience preferred.

Scheduling work for building suppliers and tradesmen

Taking calls and queries from customers

EXCEL SPREADSHEET EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

This role is a support post providing administrative support to the Environment and Community Services department.

Liaising with Building suppliers and Tradesmen

Taking calls and answering queries from customers

Scheduling work for handyvan operatives and electricians

Maintain Excel records and data

Key Responsibilities

Collect information and maintain records using established formats, software and procedures

Prepare documents and other materials to a good standard following a clear brief and using established formats and software.

Follow established ordering procedures for resources ensuring that there are sufficient resources to meet service requirements.

To provide general administrative support to the section for example photocopying, filing, mail sorting and distribution and other routine tasks

Ensure that effective routine arrangements are made for meetings and other bookings

To provide a front-line service giving an initial response to customers this may include telephone and office callers.
