Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker/ Coach to join their Targeted Family Support Team based in Catford, Lewisham. You will be based in one of the 4 hub areas in the borough, working across family homes, Schools, Children’s Centre’s, or other community settings.

Pay Rates: £20.68 - £24.21 per hour

Duration: 06/02/2023 - 4 months 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, 35 hrs/ week - Hybrid 

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Work with young people and their families to provide support to improve outcomes, address challenges, reduce risks to children and to enable families to make and sustain change.
• Build trusting relationships.
• Work with them on issues such as parenting functioning, employment, school attendence, homlessness, learning difficulties ect.
• Encourage positive behaviour.
• Assess parenting skills and help parents/ carers to build caring abilties.
• Complete Early Help Assessments and develop support plans.
• Keep records of work undertaken, prepare reports for reviews, conferences and courts.
• Keep reports on behaviour/ concerns.
• Make professional referrals where needed.
• Attend meetings where needed
• Work with outside contacts such as police, social services, mental health teams, schools.
• Working alongside Early Help Coordinators and Senior Therapists.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families
• Recent experience in Family Support
• Passionate about working with children and families
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered to the update service
