Are you a passionate, dedicated Housing Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Housing Assessment Officer to join a team based in Bury, Greater Manchester (office based- various locations across the borough). 

Pay Rates: £14.63 per hour

Housing Assessment Officer role: Full JD Available

• To be the first point of contact for customers who have a housing related enquiry.
• Housing assessments with the purpose of providing advice and practical assistance to prevent homelessness and resolve the housing needs of local people.
• Place the customer at the centre of service delivery.
• Undertake interviews and create an appropriate outcome which meets their housing needs.
• Undertake visits when required.
• Make referrals to and work closely with other agency’s.
• Arrange interim, emergency and permanent accommodation through a variety of housing providers.
• Maintain a caseload of homeless and housing advice cases.  Ensure all case files and electronic records are maintained.
• Attend meetings and reviews.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent experience within a housing environment
• The ability to apply homeless legislation
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work flexibly and travel 
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
