Kirklees Council – Information and Access Officer
Location: High Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 2LE (Working from home)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract to 1st December 2021
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm
Payrate: £10.41 an Hour
Opportunities have arisen within Kirklees Adult Social Care Department for the appointment of Information & Access Officers.
The Gateway to Care team creates part of our Front Door and Early Intervention & Prevention offer.
Information and Access Officers are the first point of contact to receive and process adult social care enquiries from the public and professionals.
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individuals who can work as part of an operational team in a fast-paced environment.
The role will involve working with a wide range of customers and their carers to ensure they receive the right input at the right time and are directed to the right place.

The ideal candidates will need to have some social care experience (voluntary or paid). Also possess and demonstrate good literacy, numeracy skills and IT skills,
as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. You will need an awareness of data protection regulations and safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
Training will be given (This will be for about 4 weeks)
Standard DBS required
