Qualified Social Worker | Unnaccompanied Asylum Team | Ashford

4Recruitment Services require a Social Worker to work within an Unnaccompanied Asylum Team based in Ashford.

To be successful for this role, you are required to have a minimum of 2 years recent Social Work experience of working within a Children in our Care team.

We are looking for a Social Worker with at least 2 years post qualifying experience, who is organised, highly motivated and skilled in communicating with this vulnerable and often traumatised group of children and young people.

You will have knowledge of relevant legislation and processes and be confident and competent in negotiating with immigration authorities and legal representatives.

You will hold a case load of UASC who are looked after and Care Leavers and will be required to fulfil statutory duties on behalf of the service.

The post involves completing age assessments, life journey & direct work with children and young people as well as general case management duties. This role also includes providing advice, information and guidance to colleagues regarding immigration issues, rights and entitlements.

To apply for this role you must have:

• A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)
• Be HCPC Registered
• Desirable experience and interest in discharge care
• Be eligible to work within the UK

Salary range is £32 - £38 per hour.
