Gloucestershire County Council - Social Work Senior Practioner 

Hours - Full time - Monday - Friday 

Pay Rate - £35 p/h - £150 a week Expenses

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced social worker to work in our Cheltenham Assessment (s47) Team, where they will hold a caseload of children and  provide an effective, evidence based intervention with consideration of timeliness and impact.

Key Responsibilites

• Carrying out Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, risk assessments
• Carrying out Section Child protection investigations
• Writing Statements for court
• Completing Section reports for court
• Representing the authority in court to give evidence
• Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes and to safeguard children
