Trafford Council – HR Business Partner
Location: TALBOT ROAD, MANCHESTER, GREATER MANCHESTER, M32 0TH.
Contract: Initial Six-month contract with possible further extension.
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday.
Payrate: £23.71 - £31.38 an Hour
Demonstrable experience of managing change programmes required including design, engagement, consultation, restructures, redeployment, redundancy, TUPE in and TUPE out including enacting measures, liaison with trade unions, etc.
Demonstrable recent experience of providing high quality, professional HR advice and support and achievement of successful outcomes in employee relations matters.
Experience of advising Chair/panels at internal hearings and appeals to facilitate appropriate outcomes.
Ability to interrogate data and prepare / present accurate and timely reports and papers for consideration by senior leaders.
Can exude credibility and confidence when advising managers and senior leaders.
Excellent risk management skills and awareness in line with employment legislation.
No requirement for direct line management of staff but will work alongside a team of HR Consultants, Advisors and Officers.
To provide a professional and influential HR service advocating for a wide range of customers to embed a strategic approach to HR management and development, supporting the achievement of the Council’s strategic priorities.
To lead and manage the development, delivery and continuous improvement of a quality HR/OD service to a wide range of customers, and ensure it is responsive, solution focused, legally compliant and people centred.
Play a lead role in the delivery of a People Strategy that reflects our vision, values and behaviours enabling corporate and service level HR & OD plans that are complementary to service priorities and the overarching Vision, Values and priorities for Trafford.
To develop and maintain excellent, professional working relationships with internal and external customers, partners, Members and stakeholders.
To provide a professional, strategic, responsive, legally compliant advice and support service on an extensive range of complex human resource issues for a wide range of customers, in line with service level agreements.
To undertake, manage and oversee a large and complex human resource caseload, ensuring that casework and investigation processes are streamlined and handled quickly to minimise risk and de-escalated efficiently and in line with legislation and case law.
To advise and provide high quality support to managers on organisational change matters and human resource planning to ensure the end-to-end process is robust, effective, timely, considerate, and legally compliant.
To undertake research and project work on human resource issues including preparing and presenting reports, analysing and presenting statistical information.
