Job Description
Barnsley – IT Project Manager
Location: Gateway Plaza, Sackville Street, Barnsley, S70 2RD
Contract: Initial contract to March 2022 with further extensions
Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday 9-5
Payrate: £17-22 an hour
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Project Manager who will focus on IT projects.
Projects tend to relate to software and systems rather than network / architecture.
The role could also involve the planning and delivery of end user device refresh programmes and similar.
The Project Manager will also help support the Head of Service on matters relating to IT across the business.
Ideally, we would like someone with experience of working with the Northgate Housing System (now called NEC) in a Local Authority setting.
Performance and Improvement team
Look after applications such as Northgate Housing Management, Sharepoint, Pims asset management.
New IT system being brought in
Small App Support team - business cases, project briefs, stakeholder engagement
End user device refresh / new modules on housing management system (repairs and maintenance)
An understanding of IT and being comfortable in the environment - hands on role
