    Duties:

  •  Are you looking for a new opportunity to utilise your administration and people management skills?
  • We are recruiting for an administration lead who will be responsible for leading a business support function serving Occupational Health, HR, and Organisational Development.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, a confident problem solver and committed to delivering a high standard of service to external and internal customers.
  • This role is varied and rewarding and is supported by a wider team of OH and HR professionals. The post is line managed by Head of Organisational Development and feeds into the management team in both HR and Occupational Health.
  • The role will involve day to day management of the business support team and administrative tasks including, clinical diary management, rotas, the corporate training programme, finances, and the APR process.
  • To be successful in the role you will need to be organised, have excellent communication skills and be adaptable to a changing workload. Knowledge of the councils ICT systems including SAP knowledge would be a real advantage.
  • The role allows for agile working and it would be beneficial to spend time between the HR office in Shire Hall and the OH department in Quayside House.
  • The post holder is responsible for managing the day to day administration (business support) functions of the Human Resources and Occupational Health Services, ensuring the smooth running of business functions in support of the clinical and business objectives of the services; contributing to the delivery of projects, initiatives and playing a key role in developing and maintaining good relationships with the services’ various customer and partner organisations. 

Requirements:

  • Significant business administration experience, including developing processes, IT and financial systems
  • Provision of reception and telephone support services
  • Management of allocated resources against specified outcomes, including line management of staff
  • Working within a large and complex organisation, as well as dealing with external partners and customers
  • Utilising data to achieve business improvement
