Subject Access Request Officer - Swindon

Salary: £ 18.00 Per Hour

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Role Purpose and Responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for managing subject access requests within the Council. Within the role the worker will be expected to identify relevant files, including a thorough search using IT systems and review of files, appropriate redaction and release to the customer or customer representation. Compliance with appropriate legislation is central to the role to ensure the Council appropriately manages subject access requests.

Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience of meeting legal compliance requirements around legislation such as Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000, are vital to this role. Excellent communication skills and ability to plan and prioritise workloads and work accurately and effectively to meet deadlines is an absolute must. Ideal candidate will have an understanding and the ability to interpret complex legislation and best practice.
