Traded Service Support Officer – Tower Hamlets (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate: £26.31ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Principle Accountabilities:

• Plan, prepare and manage the distribution of publicity materials
• Organise a calendar of engagement events
• Represent Education Traded Services at external events
• Undertake market research
• Write, edit, and proof marketing materials for use across different channels
• Update the corporate website
• Communicate through various channels including Yammer, Teams and emails
• Co-ordinate with the council’s design team the production of publicity materials
• Co-ordinate with the council’s corporate communications team the dissemination of stories from the directorate in a timely manner

Core Areas of Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience of writing copy for different mediums including publicity materials (brochures, flyers etc.), newsletters, and website
• Excellent proofreading skills
• Experience of working with external suppliers including design teams, photographers, videographers
• Knowledge of using IT applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience of working with corporate brands
• Great attention to detail and organisational skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the workings of local authorities in London and government, with Children’s Services background an advantage
• Good analytical, research, presentational and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, self-motivated and flexible
• Passionate about Children’s Services
